The main reason that Drew so actively pursued the case against Jack was his own ill feelings toward the man who Sara left him for. While there would be a certain amount of glory in bringing down a prominent attorney, especially one connected to Thatcher Karsten, this was all about getting revenge for a broken marriage, but Jack ended up beating him to the punch by confessing to the murder of Lou Mrozek himself.
