Even though Davina wants him to continue with the chemotherapy, Albert decided to refrain from any further treatment and focus on the things that are important to him his family, his loved ones, and Mardi Gras. Rather than live for additional years while being in pain/not himself, he wants to make the most of the time he has remaining and try to live a life that means something to him, a life as the man he s been and the man he knows. He may not want to leave, but if Albert is forced to, he wants to leave on his own terms and in his own way.
