The Bridge Renewed for Season 2 by FX

FX has announced that critically praised crime drama The Bridge has been renewed for a 13-episode second season, slated to premiere next summer. The series, which stars Academy Award nominee Demian Bichir (A Better Life) and Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds) as detectives from different countries forced to work together on the same case, is currently averaging 3.65 million total viewers and 1.68 million Adults 18-49.  With seven days of DVR viewing taken into account, The Bridge increases 89% in total viewers and 105% in Adults 18-49. “We’ve been blown away by the compelling performances of Demian Bichir and Diane Kruger and the writing of Meredith Stiehm, Elwood Reid and their team, and are thrilled to be able to continue this journey for another season,” said Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions.  “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Rich Ross, Carolyn Bernstein and everyone at Shine America.” Adapted
